As Managing Editor at Dawn & Dusk Publications, LLC, my team and I work with authors who want to bring thoughtful, meaningful children’s stories into the world. I am both a children’s author and a psychologist who has spent many years listening to children's inner lives. So, I have a special interest in picture books that help young readers explore imagination, nature, feelings, relationships, and the big questions of growing up.. I have published 10 picture books of my own, with more to come, and I would love to help you bring yours into the world.

Thoughtful guidance for authors of children’s picture books. Dawn & Dusk Publications, LLC offers the following services a la carte or in packages, depending on your needs and budget.
Story Development
Picture books are short, but they require a careful balance of pacing, language, and emotional impact. I offer thoughtful feedback to help strengthen your manuscript, including story structure, page turns, character clarity, and read-aloud flow. My goal is to help you refine your story while preserving the heart and voice that made you want to write it in the first place.
Line Editing
Once the story structure is solid, line editing focuses on the language itself. I help polish sentences, improve rhythm and readability, correct grammar and punctuation, and ensure the manuscript flows smoothly from beginning to end. This step helps transform a good manuscript into a clear, engaging reading experience for children and the adults who read with them.
Illustration Help
Illustrations carry half the storytelling power in a picture book. We can help you think through page layouts, illustration notes, and visual storytelling so that the images and text work together effectively. This service helps authors prepare their manuscripts for collaboration with an illustrator and avoid common first-time publishing pitfalls. If you would like Dawn & Dusk to illustrate your book for you, we can do that, too.
Amazon KDP Set up
Publishing through Amazon’s Kindle Direct Publishing platform allows authors to produce professional-quality books, but the process can feel confusing at first. I provide step-by-step guidance for preparing files, uploading manuscripts and covers, choosing settings, and successfully publishing your book on the KDP platform.
Marketing Direction
Dawn & Dusk Publications currently offers editorial guidance and publishing assistance, but does not provide marketing or promotional services. We hope to add direct marketing services soon. At present, we can give you suggestions on how to get your book into the public eye, but we do not offer direct marketing and cannot guarantee book sales or commercial success. Authors retain full ownership of their work and publishing rights unless
otherwise agreed.
Full Publishing Assistance
For authors who would prefer a guided path from manuscript to finished book, Dawn & Dusk Publications offers full publishing assistance. This includes story development feedback, line editing, illustration, and complete KDP setup. Option to have your book displayed on camdenbookshop website
