New book coming to Camden Bookshop!

On March 17, a new Tiny Giraffe story will be arriving in the world:

Tiny Giraffe and the Banana Tree.

This gentle picture book takes place on the beautiful island of Maui, where Tiny Giraffe and his best friend Tiny Llama love to gather bananas for breakfast beneath their favorite banana tree.

But one morning, something unexpected happens — and Tiny Giraffe suddenly finds himself feeling confused, worried, and more than a little shocked.

With the help of friends old and new, Tiny Giraffe begins to discover that sometimes life has surprises in store — and that even when something changes, the story may not be over after all.

Like the other Tiny Giraffe stories, this book is written for young children and the grown-ups who read with them. It’s a story about friendship, big feelings, curiosity, and the quiet ways the world renews itself. Along the way, readers will also meet a few Hawaiian words and ideas, including the beautiful spirit of aloha.

And because Tiny Giraffe loves a little extra fun, the book also includes:

• A sunny banana bread recipe from Tiny Giraffe's kitchen

• Coloring pages for young artists

• A special “For Grown-Ups” section with gentle guidance for talking with children about change and new beginnings
